Frequently Asked Questions
-
Absolutely. STYLD.® Chop is designed to be cut on, rolled, folded, used as a prep surface, placemat, or serving mat. Cut marks and colour transfer are a natural sign of use — just like any chopping board.
-
Just like all chopping surfaces (plastic, timber, or silicone), certain foods — such as sweet potato, pumpkin, turmeric, beetroot, and tomato — can leave temporary surface staining on first contact. This is normal and does not affect performance or durability.
-
STYLD.® Chop may show temporary surface staining when chopping highly pigmented foods (for example: sweet potato, beetroot, pumpkin, turmeric, or tomato). This is normal across all chopping boards and is not a quality or design fault.
-
We recommend:
• A quick wipe or wash with a mild abrasive cleaner (such as Gumption or bicarbonate of soda)
• Followed by a dishwasher cycle
This combination usually removes colour transfer immediately. -

Yes. Plastic boards shed microplastics when cutting, and wooden boards can splinter or absorb moisture. Silicone behaves differently, it flexes and absorbs the knife impact, which is why cut marks may appear while the board itself remains intact.
-
Yes. STYLD.® Chop is made from non-porous, food-grade silicone, meaning it does not absorb moisture or harbour bacteria like timber boards can.
-
STYLD.® Chop is designed to be used. Like all quality kitchen tools, it will show signs of wear over time. These marks are part of normal use and do not impact function or longevity.
-
Yes — light surface markings are a natural part of use with any chopping surface.
STYLD.® Chop is designed with a softer silicone finish to absorb knife impact and protect surfaces during everyday food preparation.
Over time, cosmetic markings, cuts, or small surface impressions may occur depending on knife sharpness, pressure, and frequency of use. These are considered normal wear and do not affect the safety or functionality of the product.
